Position: Deputy Chairman
Keith was born and educated in Yorkshire. He served in the R.A.F. in the late 1940s. He became a Bachelor of Laws at the University of London, and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1953.
Keith spent his career in legal and managerial appointments in the Local Government Service in Wakefield, Warrington, Eastbourne and Bradford; and with I.C.I. in London and Bristol.
He came to Bournemouth in 1967 and for the last twenty years of his career was Chief Executive and Town Clerk of the Borough of Bournemouth until his retirement in 1992.
Keith was appointed a Trustee of the Macmillan Cancer Trust in 1978 and was Chairman of the Trust from 1996 to 2016.
Keith is a member of the Bournemouth and District Law Society, of which he was President in 1978/79. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Bournemouth, of which he was President in 1996/97.
Keith is married to Betty, a retired J.P. on the Bournemouth Bench. They have two sons and four grandchildren, all of whom currently live in Australia.
